Centre des viandes F. Iasenza Warehouse

A distribution warehouse built by Groupe Venise for Centre des viandes F. Iasenza, the butcher founded in Montréal in 1981: refrigerated rooms, high pallet racking, and shipping docks that serve its branches across Greater Montréal.

The Project

Cold rooms, racking, and docks built for distribution.

Groupe Venise built this warehouse for Centre des viandes F. Iasenza, a butcher that has served Montrealers since 1981 and now has branches across Greater Montréal, from St-Michel and Montréal-Nord to Laval, LaSalle, and Longueuil. The project brings together refrigerated rooms, dry storage, and a shipping area with loading docks. White insulated panels line the walls and ceilings of the refrigerated rooms, evaporators hang from the ceilings, and long LED strip lights run over concrete floors fitted with floor drains.

The photographs show the warehouse in operation. Tall pallet racking with numbered beam levels lines the main aisles, reached through doorways fitted with strip curtains. Open rooms around slender columns leave space to stage pallets, and red overhead dock doors open the shipping area to the trucks that supply each branch. Outside, the black metal-clad building stands behind a landscaped, fenced lot with yellow bollards and parking.
